Parents: what is your option on children under a certain age Banned from Restaurants?
"Many businesses are adding a new policy a ”No Children Allowed” due to complaints from customers about disruptive children ruining their evenings, because of their bad behavior high volume of crying basically resulting in refunds and a bad reputation from the community. unfortunately many states have passed a law were any business will not let entry of a children under a certain age into their Establishment now, how does that make you parents feel what is your option?"
Because there are so many unruly kids in society today, the restaurants have been forced to take action to protect their dining atmosphere. I have no problem with them banning children under a certain age. In fact, I appreciate it.
For parents with small children, take them to family-friendly restaurants. There are plenty of them other than McDonald’s. Try buffet restaurants, pizza places, other hamburger/hot dog joints. It’s not that they have no choice.
If a couple wants to dine in a better restaurant, hire a baby sitter and enjoy an evening out. There’s nothing worse than trying to have an intimate conversation with a table partner and the table next to you has a fussy child, squirming and screaming because they don’t like sitting still.
Unfortunately the family with well-behaved kids have to suffer the consequences of others’ behavior… much like the children in a school classroom suffer due to the antics of one child who doesn’t "fess up".
And, fortunately, the children who are well-behaved will soon reach the age of entering the better restaurants and everyone will enjoy the dining experience. Tending to young children in public can be a hassle to parents.
It’s not just restaurants, either. Soon you will find "No Children" signs in certain stores and offices because children tend to disrupt and destroy.
I expect the Civil Liberties Union will soon cry "foul" due to banning children under a certain age (after all, it’s "Not Fair"). But business owners also have rights. They have a right to maintain a pleasant peaceful atmosphere. They have a right to have their own rules. They have a right to ask a person to leave.
Parents need to wake up and realize that training a child to become a proper member of society begins at home.
